Many a young boy first learned of PT Boats from the wild antics of Lieutenant Commander Quinton McHale and the crew of PT-73 in the very popular TV situation comedy McHale's Navy in the early 1960s. Every PT Boat Squadron, and many of the individual boats, had its own badge, but McHale's Squadron was never identified in the series, and neither was the boat's nickname, if it had one. We gave it some thought, and came up with a boat badge that we believe works well for McHale's crew. It features a beautiful blonde wearing very little clothing, holding a drink and riding a booze bottle across the waves, along with the number of McHale's Boat.
