One of our customers requested that we put together a shirt in memory of his Father who was Quartermaster 1C on PT-559 "Black Rufe". Having no photos of the artwork used on the 559 Boat, we put something together with a colorized image of "Black Rufe", the L'il Abner character the Boat was named for.
This mug bears the non-personalized version of the artwork used on that shirt.
While most of our other Boat and Squadron artwork is historically accurate, we cannot say the same for this artwork because we had no original photo/description to base it on except for the Boat's nickname.
